About this rally

Racexotics Super Car Rally 2023: The Cascade Loop That Put Washington on the Map

The first Racexotics Super Car Rally was never supposed to feel like a movie. Then a snake of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, and an NSX rolled out of storage in Washington, climbed a Cascade pass, overnighted in Yakima, and got chased by a helicopter the next morning.

That weekend became the 4K film the whole scene still sends to friends: Racexotics Super Car Rally 2023 by Woyshnis Media—now past two million views.

The official recap of that first loop is posted above.

What the 2023 Racexotics Rally Was

Racexotics founder Scott Carlson built a short, invitation-style exotic-only rally around the roads he actually wanted to drive: Washington mountain pavement, a tight group, no parade pace, and a crew that already felt like family.

It was the first Racexotics rally. Entry sat around $850. The published Cascade Loop framing ran Bremerton / west-side start toward Leavenworth, with the live route hitting a Hagerty storage start (the old Driver’s Club building), a Cascade mountain pass, a stop in Leavenworth, overnight in Yakima, and a Day 2 return with aerial filming and an awards stop near Griot’s.

About 20 supercars made the grid. Limited on purpose. That constraint is why the footage still looks expensive.

Behind-the-scenes Day 1 and the helicopter day:

The Route: Storage Lot to Cascade Pass to Yakima

Day 1 — The snake leaves Hagerty

Cars staged at Hagerty in Washington (formerly Driver’s Club). Driver’s meeting. Goodie bags. Poker-run cards. Then the support van pulled out and the convoy stacked behind it: not daily drivers, a full exotic car rally line stretching down the on-ramp.

The first real driving was a Cascade mountain pass—the kind of road that makes a V10 or a flat-plane Ferrari sound illegal even when it isn’t. Pit stop. A Leavenworth pause for food and photos in the Bavarian street grid. Then the downhill run toward Yakima.

By the time the group dropped into the Hilton garage, the parking level looked like a private concours: Testarossa, Noble, McLaren, SV-spec Lambo, R8s, NSX in the mix. Engines came back on in the lot. V10 twin-turbo, straight-pipe twelve, Ferrari blips off the concrete. That night Racexotics rented the theater for an early Gran Turismo screening—the whole rally watching the same movie together.

Day 2 — Helicopter over the valley

Day 2 is why the 4K film exists.

Woyshnis and crew boarded a helicopter and chased the convoy through a valley on the Mount Rainier side of the state. Convoy speed was held down so the gimbal could stay clean in the rotor wash. Guardrails, lookouts, long sweepers, shadows of the chopper on the hoods. Those aerials are the shots people still pause on.

Not every car finished unassisted. A Noble needed a clutch slave fixed before the start. An R8 dumped coolant. A McLaren got ugly after hitting debris and showed flame. A couple of cars trailered home. Nobody was hurt. The group still made the awards.

MVP went to Isaac—up until 5 a.m. keeping cars alive. The film crew, the website work, and the people who treated a rally like a job and a vacation at the same time all got named. Then the remaining cars pointed west and the first Racexotics chapter closed.

Cars on the 2023 Racexotics Grid

The 2023 field was a PNW snapshot of what people actually own and daily-risk on real roads:

  • Lamborghini Aventador SV / SVJ and Huracán
  • Ferrari Testarossa and other prancing-horse metal in the pack
  • McLaren GT and related mid-engine cars
  • Audi R8 (multiple)
  • Acura / Honda NSX
  • Noble M400
  • Support and film vehicles keeping the snake together

Commenters on the film still call out the NSX lineup transition, the civilian Ford reaction in traffic, and the last-era V10 / V12 soundtrack. That mix—current mid-engine cars next to a Testarossa and a Noble—is the Racexotics identity: not a brand-only cruise, a Washington exotic car family.
